Sector coupling should be considered a key pillar in Europe's strategy for the energy transition. From vehicles themselves to the associated infrastructure and buildings, an electrified, efficiently integrated transport sector could play a vital role in securing future energy supplies. Current proposals range from coating vehicles, roads and car parks in PV modules to developing mobile buffer storage solutions. Speakers in this session will present innovative models, examine the potential of vehicle-integrated PV (ViPV) systems, and discuss ways to overcome issues of cost efficiency, resource availability and compatibility.

Today, he leads an international team of experienced designers, engineers and managers. Mathieu Baudrit is developing an innovative and flexible charging solution in the seamless integration of solar cells into the body of vehicles. This opens up a wide range of new applications for local energy generation in the transport and mobility sector and makes an important contribution to the fight against climate change.

Alexander Schuller is a product manager for smart charging services and products at GreenCom Networks AG - a French-German software as a service company for residential energy management loT solutions. He has a professional background in the area of smart grids and the grid integration of electric vehicles, both with academic and industry experience. He received his PhD in information systems and energy economics while investigating different charging control mechanisms for the integration of renewable energy sources into the power system. Before joining GreenCom, Alexander designed and implemented public and smart charging services for Audi AG. He is now devoted to make smart charging a convenient and easy everyday reality for all EV drivers in their residential context.

Oliver Mayer is general manager of the cluster energy technologies at Bayern Innovativ GmbH in Nürnberg. Oliver graduated at the Technische Universität München (TUM). He got his Dr.-Ing. from the University of the armed forces in Germany on solar water pumping. After having worked for two years as a consultant for solar water treatment in several developing countries, Oliver joined KMW company being responsible for system logistics. In 2004 Oliver joint the newly opened GE research facility for Europe in Munich. He was responsible for distributed, hybrid power generation as well as innovation methodologies and quality management. 2019 Oliver moved to Bayern Innovativ GmbH and was responsible for the Cluster energy technologies. Since 2020 he is heading the whole energy department. Since 2007 Oliver is involved in TRIZ. Today he is one of two TRIZ Master in Germany and one of 4 in Europe
