Spain is pumping 45 million Euros into the support of e-mobility

The Spanish government has adopted the relaunch of its eMobility subsidy program. The new package called MOVES came into force on 16 February and has a budget of 45 million Euros.

The program offers between 2,300 and 6,500 € grants for the purchase of pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, if a car with a combustion engine which is at least ten years old car is taken off the roads. Up to 700 euros is available for electric motorcycles and 15,000 euros for the purchase of trucks and buses with alternative motors (including natural gas). Grants are also given for the construction of public and private charging infrastructure, in specific terms this amounts to 30 or 40 per cent of the eligible costs up to a maximum of 100,000 euros.
The distribution of the funding is coordinated by Spain's 17 regions ("comunidades autónomas").
