ABB Launches World EV Day in September

Industry News – Thursday, June 18, 2020

The inaugural World EV Day on September 9 is to encourage the recognition of the role of electric mobility in the transition to a zero-emission future.

The initiators, ABB and the media company Green.TV, will also use the opportunity – that will become an annual institution, according to the plans – to focus on charging infrastructure and its reliability and speed as well as the role of renewable energy sources.

“This is a crucial time for transitioning to a new, electrified and sustainable model for mobility. As part of ABB Electrification’s Mission to Zero, we are at the forefront of making this transition possible, and a global day which recognizes and celebrates worldwide the importance of e-mobility solutions is something that ABB is delighted to be the lead partner on,” says Frank Muehlon, Head of ABB E-Mobility Infrastructure Solutions.

Other partners of the worldwide e-mobility sector will join the movement.
