Launch of Power2Drive South America Exhibition and Conference 2024

Press Release – Thursday, June 29, 2023

São Paulo/Pforzheim, June 29, 2023: Renewable energies, energy storage and e-mobility play a central role in achieving climate protection targets. As efficient and environmentally friendly mobility solutions, electric vehicles have an important contribution to make to the energy transition. Power2Drive highlights the significance of electric cars for the energy mix and transport of the future. It introduces innovative charging solutions, battery concepts and business models for sustainable e-mobility.

Electric vehicle trend picks up in Brazil
The world of mobility is part of a system of tightly knit sectors: The key to powering our mobile lives is the smart combination of photovoltaics (PV), storage and e-mobility. For example, sector coupling in parking lots is making a major contribution to the development of an extensive e-mobility charging infrastructure, with ev-charging points providing PV electricity.

Renewable energies and e-vehicles are an optimal combination. For this reason, the topic of e-mobility has received increasing attention from exhibitors and visitors of The smarter E South America and has been promoted at the Special Exhibition Power2Drive as part of the ees South America exhibition and the accompanying program since 2019.

In 2023 around 30 providers of products from the e-mobility sector are expected to exhibit at The smarter E South America. The exhibition program will feature the opportunity to learn about the dynamic development of the mobility transition with presentations on the Innovation & Application Stage and workshops in the Auditorium.

In order to give this important topic for the energy transition even more visibility and to provide existing and new exhibitors with attractive business opportunities, the organizers of The smarter E South America - Solar Promotion International GmbH, Freiburg Management and Marketing International GmbH (FMMI) and Aranda Eventos & Congressos Ltda as co-organizer - have decided to launch the Power2Drive Exhibition and Conference for 2024.

The 3-day exhibition and one-day conference will be held as part of The smarter E South America on August 27-29, 2024 alongside with Intersolar South America, ees South America and Eletrotec+EM-Power South America. Conditions of participation and further detailed information will be published at this year's The smarter E South America, August 29 -31, 2023.

The key topics will be traction batteries, charging infrastructure and charging stations, electric vehicles, and grid infrastructure and solutions for the integration of renewable energies
