What is the status of the upcoming EU regulation that will affect electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and the companies doing business in this sector? What does this mean for the markets? The regulation will e.g. affect electric vehicles throughout the EU, the entire life cycle of batteries, including the extraction of materials and the disposal of batteries.

A lot of the EU regulation is part of the Fit-for-55 initiative. However, the regulation relevant for the e-mobiliy sector encompasses more. The webinar will cover the developments around EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation Proposal (AFIR). Also The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), Renewable Energy Directive (RED), Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CRS) and Corporate Sustanability Due Diligence (CSDDD) will be included. It also touches on the Ecodesign Directive, and the current political discussions around HDV CO2, requirements for corporate fleets, the Critical Raw Material Act and the Net Zero Industry Act

Thomas Neumann, Policy Manger of AVERE (The European Association for Electromobility) and lawyer Alexander Dlouhy, partner of the international law firm from Osborne Clarke and Head of Decarbonisation (Germany) will give you an overview of the current status, the political discussions and an outlook update a full update for the year 2023 in this webinar.
