With great technology and brilliant people, Philippe Vangeel found his way as Secretary General in one of the fastest changing and growing technologies: electric vehicles. An engineer by background, Philippe has always worked as manager in the electronic sector. Preceding his role as a Secretary General of AVERE, he has worked an innovative entrepreneur in e-retails, security and the medical sector.
Adalberto Maluf, President of ABVE - Brazilian Association of Electric Vehicle
Director of Marketing, Sustainability and New Business at BYD and president of the Brazilian Association of Electric Vehicle (ABVE).
Adalberto is an experienced Government Affairs, Marketing and Sustainability Director with a demonstrated history of working in the renewable energy and automotive industries, and climate change mitigation. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations (Cities Network, C40), Urban development and Cities, Corporate Social Responsibility, Governments and Sustainability.
Strong communication and governmental affairs background.
Have a Master in Science (MSc) in International Political Economy and a bacharel degree in International Relations both from Universidade de São Paulo (IRI-USP).
Joel Levin, Executive Director at Plug In America – the nation's largest association of EV drivers and enthusiasts in America
Joel is a leading advocate for electric vehicles, clean energy and effective climate policies. As executive director of Plug In America, he is focused on continuing to build it as the national consumer voice for electric vehicles in the United States. He is chair of the Global EV Drivers’ Alliance, which links together EV driver associations around the world. He is also a member of the Los Angeles Metro Sustainability Council. Prior to joining Plug In America, he served as vice president for business development at the Climate Action Reserve, the state-chartered nonprofit that runs North America’s largest carbon offset registry. He has an MBA from UC Berkeley and an MA in international economics from the Johns Hopkins University. He drives a Nissan LEAF and mostly charges at home on a Clipper Creek HCS-50 charging station.
